Who We Are

The Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee
was established in 1978 as a nonprofit volunteer organization
composed of members who are sympathetic to our purpose
of enhancing the appearance of the city of Marquette.
Mission Statement: The Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee was organized,
to improve the appearance of Marquette. Our purpose is to encourage each individual
citizen to maintain and beautify his property. By suggestion, example, instruction and
awards, we encourage each business, organization, and individual citizen to cooperate in
beautifying the city of Marquette. The committee encourages the maintenance of and
appropriate restoration of historic buildings and landmarks.
The Committee coordinates the Annual Spring Clean Up of the city of Marquette every
Spring. We host an annual awards luncheon in the Spring to present awards to area
businesses & individuals who have improved and/or impacted our city. The MBRC is best known for its Petunia Pandemonium project. The flowers are planted
& maintained for the summer in the South Front Street corridor to the city. MBRC
also sponsors a Garden Tour every summer.
