The Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee, Inc. was established in 1978 as a nonprofit volunteer organization composed of members who are supportive of our purpose of enhancing the appearance of the city of Marquette.
The Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee, Inc. was organized to improve the appearance of Marquette. Our purpose is to encourage beautification of property by suggestion, example, instruction, awards; to encourage each business, organization, and individual citizen to cooperate in beautifying the city. The committee encourages protection, maintenance of, and appropriate restoration of historic buildings and landmarks.
The MBRC is best known for its Petunia Pandemonium project. A variety of flowers are planted & maintained for the summer in the South Front Street corridor to the city. MBRC also sponsors a Garden Tour every summer.
The Committee coordinates the Annual Spring Clean Up of the city of Marquette. We also host an annual awards luncheon to present awards to area businesses & individuals who have improved and/or impacted our city.
