Garden Conference News from MBRC:

MBRC's 2011 Garden Conference is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2011, 8 AM - 4 PM, at Northern Michigan University.

The Featured Speaker is Ed Lyon, Director of the Allen Centennial Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin, who will present "Cold Climate Gardening". Ed's public garden experience includes Chicago Botanical Garden, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, and Rotary Botanical Gardens. He writes and speaks for both public and professional audiences across the Midwest and writes for magazines including "Chicagoland Gardening", "Nursery Management Pro", and "American Nurseryman". He writes a regular regional report on southern Wisconsin for "Chicagoland Gardening". He loves Photography and takes all of he images used in his presentations. For almost 10 years Ed assisted in a speciality nursery and has past experience as a greenhouse manager. Most importantly, he is an avid gardener with dirt under his fingernails.
